Where’s the REAL support?

I wish my story as a special needs parent wasn’t so… lonely.

I have two friends now from this community, but I have been faced with a ton of judgment and criticism FROM this community.

That’s why I created a space that you can have right at your finger tips.

Yes, it is behind my paywall, but that is because I want to make sure you’re as invested in this support group as the people who I want in there.

I want parents who are ready to own their pain and not judge someone who is struggling themselves.

I want parents who are ready to learn to become more self aware.

I want parents who are ready to have a huge effect on the 1 in 3 abuse statistic surrounding special needs individuals.

Abuse almost always comes from inside the house.

I want this space to be vetted so well, that you feel comfortable enough to tell us how angry you are.

I want to hold your hand personally, to help you gain your footing, because you deserve to have a beautiful parenting experience as much as your child deserves stability and safety.

And don’t worry, you don’t have to keep paying for my Substack to stay in it. Once you’re in, you’ll always be in.

There isn’t enough support for the big emotions that come with going from parent to special needs parent.

I will never take that away, as long as you show kindness to all of the other parents looking to change their struggle into an empowered relationship with their child.

I want this to be a space where you find support and bravery to heal.

I never want someone to have to navigate the big emotions I did.

As an adult who grew up in a violent house, I am aware that I am 33% more inclined to be violent myself, toward my child.

My child, being a nonverbal, severely cognitively impaired 12 year old, he is also 33% more inclined to be abused simply because he is disabled.

I advocate for the safety and betterment of special needs children by supporting and empowering their parents to HEAL!
